Our Mission and Vision

Imagine a connected community

where everyone thrives.

At NeighbourLink North York our mission is to engage and empower neighbours to care for each other in practical, relational and sustainable ways that give everyone the opportunity to live out their potential.

As a locally based Christian community development organization, we believe transformation happens when we come together as friends, neighbours, churches, organizations and business owners to address poverty, social isolation, discrimination, violence and other community gaps and injustices.

NeighbourLink North York serves the North York area and includes outreach through the We Love Willowdale network, supporting the Willowdale community.

NeighbourLink North York is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community where all members are treated with respect and dignity. We recognize that systemic barriers exist that prevent individuals from fully participating in our society, and we are dedicated to dismantling these barriers through our work. We value diversity in all forms, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, marital, and socioeconomic status. We strive to ensure that all individuals have equal access to our programs and services, and that their voices are heard and valued in all aspects of our organization.

We are committed to ongoing education and training for our staff and volunteers on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize that this is an ongoing process and that we must continue to learn, grow, and adapt to best serve the needs of our community. Ultimately, our goal is to build a more just and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We are proud to be a part of this important work, and we invite all members of our local community to join us.
