Matti Prima, Chair – 30+ years in commercial/investment banking, educational publishing, and public service. Credit-trained lending officer at European American Bank (NYC/LA) specializing in LBOs. Senior Managing Director at Henry Ansbacher & Co. (NYC), orchestrating $2 Billion in M&A transactions across media/communications. President of Measuring Up (Peoples Publishing Group division); later led turnarounds for two educational companies in publishing and digital services. Public service: eliminated municipal debt as Chair of Princeton Junction Parking Authority; provided fiscal oversight for $150M annual budget as elected school board member in premier NJ district. Fundraising leadership for PEACH (Jane-Finch nonprofit for at-risk students), Canada Treatment Action Council (HIV/Hepatitis C support), Big Brothers, and Random Acts of Kindness. Walter Jong, Secretary and Past Chair – Retired 2010 after 30+ years in financial management across retail (Dominion Stores Ltd.), manufacturing (Nortel), healthcare (St. Michael's & Peel Memorial Hospitals), technology (Norigen), and financial services (BMO, Symcor). Teaching Leader, Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for 10+ years. Current board member, Urban Promise Toronto (Christian organization serving marginalized GTA communities). Married to Carolyn; 2 sons, 7 grandchildren.
Heidi Ojo, Interim Treasurer – 35 years in community care, 20+ as RN and Ontario Care Coordinator for seniors (Toronto/Hamilton). MDiv 2019; committed to serving vulnerable populations. Volunteer with NeighbourLink. Willowdale resident; mother of four adult children.
Terence Wong, Board Member – Terence Wong has been a Willowdale resident since 1990. He holds degrees in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto, Medicine from the University of Limerick, and Clinical Audiology from Macquarie University.
Terence is passionate about preventive health and healthy living. He has worked as a fitness instructor and currently practices as an audiologist with Costco Wholesale. He was honoured with the Lieutenant Governor's Community Volunteer Award for his work at Earl Haig Secondary School and has been volunteering with North York NeighbourLink since 2021.
Terence brings a community-centred approach, extensive health science expertise, and a dedication to service to the board. He lives in Willowdale with his wife and two children.
Roosevelt Gordon, Board Member – 20+ years as HR and Operations executive in financial services and BPO sectors. Led large-scale HR transformation, training programs, and operational excellence initiatives across Canada, US, and Caribbean. Trauma Healing Facilitator with Black Compass Group, supporting mental health/recovery for diverse populations including youth and refugees. MSc Government (University of the West Indies), Certificate in HR (Seneca College), Certificate Project Management (Cornell University).
Jeff Yang, Board Member – Investment industry professional who has worked at BMO and Scotiabank. He has experience in sales, management, marketing, operations, and compliance. 20+ year Willowdale resident; involved in multiple community organizations and political campaigns. Integrating AI systems in workplace and external projects.
Doug McDougall, Chair Emeritus & Accounting Officer – Electrical Engineer; career at IBM manufacturing through Celestica sale, retiring as Senior VP/General Manager. Joined NLNY 2020 as Treasurer/bookkeeper, later Chair. Currently Accounting Manager.
Farid Karam Pour, Board Member – Retired accountant/auditor with 18 years at Iran Khodro Automotive (leading regional automotive manufacturer). Long-time Willowdale 415 resident providing community insight. Finance & Audit Committee contributor. Photographer
