Thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs Program, our team is growing! We'll be introducing you to our summer staff in the coming weeks! This week we'll be introducing our two Child and Youth Workers, Moxiao and Joanna!

"Hi! My name is Moxiao, and I attend the University of Waterloo studying Architecture. I am excited to be this summer's Child and Youth Worker and meet all the people in Willowdale! I hope to come into a welcoming environment and make an impact through my interests, including sports, visual arts, design, or simply engaging with youth and the neighbourhood. I'd love to expand my knowledge of what makes community building essential in developing long-term satisfaction and success. I look forward to inspiring and being inspired by the citizens around North York and contributing to lasting memories!"

"My name is Joanna, and I'm a child and youth worker at NeighbourLink this summer! I'm currently in my second year in the Masters of Education in Culturally Responsive Pedagogy program at St. Francis Xavier University. I am excited to make connections with youth that leave a positive impact on them, myself, and the community. I look forward to connecting with youth in ways that empower them to care deeply about their own connections to one another and how these connections add to the collective and individual success of those in the community. As I embark on my journey with NeighbourLink, I hope to actively contribute to creating equitable and sustainable spaces that support the holistic development of youth and the Willowdale community."
Stay tuned next week to meet our Volunteer Coordinator team!
