Bread and Batteries
 

On our final day of Meet Your Neighbour Week, Saturday August 21st, we hosted a Bread and Batteries Electronic Recycling Event!

 

Neighbours across Willowdale dropped off old electornics and batteries at Earl Haig SS (100 Princess Ave, North York, ON M2N 3R7)

We were able to collect and recycle 15 computers, 33 laptops, 16 monitors, 36 printers, 3 external hard drives, 200kg of batteries and so much more! We held this event in partnership with the Electronics Recycling Association for helping us recycle these materials as we are targeting climate change and believe it is important to focus on the best solutions to help keep the environment safe. We also collected a substantial amount of food to help kickstart our new food bank.
