Thanks to the Canada Summer Jobs Program, our team is growing! We'll be introducing you to our summer staff in the coming weeks! This week we'll be introducing our two new community workers, Bin and Archanaa!
Our Community Workers will be supporting Colleen and NeighbourLink's community care initiatives including making follow up calls with neighbours who request help, supporting the food and youth programs, reviewing policy and procedures, making referrals and creating a computer literacy program.
"My name is Bin Choi, and I am honoured to partner with NeighbourLink North York as a Community Worker this summer. Currently finishing my Master of Theological Studies at Tyndale University, I am thrilled to be able to make a difference in my community. I hope to create lasting relationships because I know North York has much to offer. Ultimately, my dream is to empower my fellow North Yorkers to find their place in their neighbourhood so they can contribute their gifts in meaningful ways."
"My name is Archanaa, and I will be a community worker for NeighbourLink North York. I'm studying sociology in my last semester at Toronto Metropolitan University. I am looking forward to meeting and working with a variety of populations! More specifically, providing support and creating ideas that help them."
Stay tuned next week to meet our Child and Youth Worker team!
