Help us make another Turkey Miracle happen!

Thankgiving Pop Up.png

Our monthly Food Hub launched three years ago with a Thanksgiving Pop-up! We had 75 households sign up, and at first, we had no turkeys. By the day of the food bank, it felt like it was raining turkeys, with 90 of them to distribute thanks to individual neighbours and community partners! It was a true Willowdale Turkey Miracle!

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to make this happen! Now, our Food Hub supports 150+ families a month! We will be running a Thanksgiving pop-up on October 11th and our end-of-the-month Food Hub on October 25th, and we can't do it without you! Your contributions are truly changing lives.

Please consider contributing so we can provide turkeys, chickens, pies and other Thanksgiving staples to families in Willowdale! You can also bid on an original art piece below, for which funds raised will also be part of our Thanksgiving Fundraiser.

Please Email Food Hub Coordinator Roberto at roberto@neighbourlink.org with any questions!

Here are some words of gratitude from one of our recipients (shared with permission):

"I am one of the happy recipients of a turkey, canned goods, fresh veggies, and a lot more, from that event yesterday. I noticed how well organized, smooth, ample food staples, kind and respectful people that you have in there to run this humble and reassuring project. First of its kind @ 415 Willowdale itself!"

ART AUCTION FUNDRAISER

Anchor 1

On Sunday, September 22nd, accomplished artists took to Mel Lastman Square to create one-of-a-kind graffiti art. These paintings are now part of a silent auction to raise funds for our Thanksgiving Pop Up. On Friday October 11 we will distribute fresh turkeys, chickens, produce, pies and more to families experiencing food insecurity.

You can own one of these incredible works of art all while supporting the most vulnerable in our community!

The Auction closes Friday, October 11 at 5:00PM.

There are eight pieces up for auction. Each is made up of two 3'x4' canvases making the total piece 3'x8'. Bidding on each piece begins at $75 enough to provide a Thanksgiving package to one family. See the pieces below!

Our thanks to Youngdo (of City Lights Fellowship & Mission) for organizing this wonderful event and for all the artists for donating their time and these pieces!
